CHLORINATED RUBBER PAINTS & COATINGS (YC SERIES)

chlorinated rubber based paints are single component & hardened by evaporation of solvent. They posses a very good resistance against weathering ,chemicals, sea water & oxidizing agents, e.g. chlorine vapors, but they are weak in solvent & oil resistance. The anti-corrosion paints based on them have excellent adhesion with short drying time & they are non-toxic for applying on metal. It is better that the substrate to be very well prepared & preferably the use of wash primer is suggested. One of the advantages of this kind of paints is their very good over painting & in contrary to epoxy paints they are usable in low temps. They are applicable by spraying & brushing and due to their sensitivity to elevated temps they must be stored in temps lower than 50'c.
